As long as I can remember, I have lived in Northern Virginia. After my father's five year enlistment in the army during the Korean war, my father started his practice as a physician in the area. He had graduated from Georgetown Medical School and liked the area. My mother had grown up in the area as well and there was lots of family. I am obviously not a world traveler but I consider myself lucky in that I have had the opportunity to meet people from all over the world with my work.
Working with people has been something that I have always done. I worked as a nurse for many years and really understand communication skills. Understanding people and their motivation helps tremendously whether it is a health care issue or a real estate issue. Being able to pick up on non verbal cues as well as spoken sentiments helps in working with buyers, sellers as well as other agents. Being able to work well with all of the parties in a transaction is critical in moving through the process in a smooth professional manner. Good communication allows the transaction to proceed with a minimum of stress that is inevitable in such a huge financial and personal matter. I strive to make sure that there are no surprises.
Although I work full time as a Realtor, I also enjoy playing tennis and golf. Both are great for getting out to enjoy friends and family and also get some much needed exercise. The garden is also another passion. I like to learn about nutrition and health and growing veggies in the garden brings it all together. I also enjoy cooking for my husband and family when they need a square meal. In 2017 I added a new hat! Grand Mother! It keeps getting better!
I have been enjoying selling real estate since 2002. The real estate landscape is ever changing. I enjoy the challenges of meeting the needs of my clients in the ever changing atmosphere of this lively real estate market. It is never the same old thing twice.
Give me a call and lets see how we can work together.
